I got a Dremel tool with a pretty big kit for my birthday back in 2003 and it had served me on at least 100 projects until 2014 when I got a bit careless and burned out the motor. I was cutting some ABS pipe and used too much pressure, and let the RPM drop too low, which ruined the tool. This model is significantly newer, and it also the top of the line model too, and I can tell. The fact it still works with the 11 year old attachments and bits from my old kit is a huge plus. I'm not going to be stupid with this one by letting the motor burn out! Will update this review if anything breaks or doesnt work, but so far so good.

I have not owned a proper Dremel brand rotary tool in years.
I have always used "other brands" thinking they must be as good.
I was seriously wrong.

This thing is a power house.
I have already used it for a few projects that used to slow down my old rotary tool or even make it stop spinning all together.
I have not had this issue with this tool.

The last REAL dremel I owned was over 15 years ago.
They have come a long way since.
If you are looking for a dremel or other brand rotary tool, I highly recommend the real thing.
I feel like I cheated myself and caused myself years of un-needed frustration by using inferior tools because I thought they must be just as good.

I won't bother to list all the things you can do with this, because if your looking at it I am sure you have some idea.
I always find even more new uses for it since I have owned it.

The included accessories are a little on the sparse side but overall it comes with some good stuff.
The case is only ok and doesn't hold some of the accessories well but I am not going to knock it as it still does a pretty decent job for what it is.

This is my third Dremel, the second identical model. I find it a very useful tool to have to hand and use it at least every week. A unit will last for a decade or so years before I manage to burn out the motor. The tool can work almost any medium - steel, wood, glass, plastic - carving, cutting, shaping, drilling, polishing, engraving. As an R.C. sailor, I find many uses for the Dremel when working on the boats. These are just some of the ways I put the Dremel to work on various media. An accessory that I have found exceedingly useful is the "Pen" attachment. All my tools now have my name engraved on them to help them find their way home when someone borrows them.

I've only used this for a short while, but I put on the flexible shaft and just hang the tool from a hook on my work bench. Love this thing! So far so good! I'll update this review over time as the tool is used.

I love this tool. It is extremely versatile. It comes with enough different attachments that it makes me want to look for things to fix. The motor is very powerful and the speed is adjustable. It is actually fun to use. It arrived on time and in great condition. I would definitely order from the seller again.

This is a wonderful Dremel. This is my 5th Dremel and I am impressed, this one came with an attachable holder. I have a cordless Dremel I have used for 10+ years. I will not retire it because of the holder. Now, it can sleep in its charger as this one is fast because it is new.

OK to be fair, I haven't used it enough to give a definitive review, but I've always wanted a Dremel tool and after extensive research this seems to be the best bang for the buck. It's like having a good Swiss Army Knife or Leatherman. You may not use it everyday, but you just feel better knowing it's there if you need it.

I purchased this to replace my 30+ year old Dremel. It works great and does not heat up as much as my old one did. The accessories that come with it are ones I use. The only drawback is all the little parts that come with it are just loose or in little plastic box, all jumbled together.

I cannot attest to this being the best rotary tool on the market. I can state that it has met or exceeded my expectations for every task I have completed with it.

I have sharpened, cut, used it to router, burnished, polished, and drilled with this tool. I have owned a rotary saw and another manufacturers rotary tool, neither were as good as this Dremel 4000.

I chose this Dremel model over others based on customer reviews I found on the Dremel website. I cannot compare this to other models, but believe this tools is equally well built as my fathers 40 year old Dremel.

The "kit" included with my purchase was nice. I did need to purchase accessories day one which is okay, but a bit disappointing. The most disappointing discovery was that I needed to purchase a collar kit in order to fully use all the accessories provided. I think it would be nice if they would keep something out of the kit and replace it with the collars. My $.02.

I bought my Dremel a couple of years ago. I am not going to spend much time on the product because Dremel is an outstanding brand and all of their tools are well made and high quality. Over the past years I have used my Dremel like a rented mule. I have cut things that are way too big to be cut with a Dremel. I have run it for hours at a time detail sanding. It has been buried in saw dust, splashed with paint stripper and solvents and dusted with paint over spray. It has been in and out of my van hundreds of times. It has fallen off my work bench and other things dozens of times. After all this use and abuse I started having a problem where it would slow down or stop under load. I tried replacing the brushes to no avail. I have gotten my money out of this tool many times over so I was about to just toss it and buy another one. Instead I pulled my old dremel 200 out of a cabinet to use for a while and sent the 4000 in for service. I got back to the shop today and there was a package from Dremel. It had what appears to be a new 4000 and a free flap wheel and a collet wrench. Dremel knows customer service and I will be a customer for life. Dremel For President!!!! A tool worth voting for!!
