It is very small for a toolbox, but I purchased two: one to hold a Chicago Electric Multi-Tool and the other to hold the same brand 4.5" electric angle grinder. They fit both with blades attached, although the inside tray doesn't fit with the angle grinder. Plenty of room for accessories. I need to test-fit my right-angle drill--if it fits I'll have to order another one.

4 nubs on the bottom match recesses on the top to make these stack nicely.

If you are a college attendant or recent graduate. This item is worth buying even though it's plastic. I just wanted something to place my tools within because they were anywhere and everywhere. If you want a sturdy tool box for daily use then purchase something else. This item is perfect for organizing the various tools I possess.

It's an inexpensive way to tote small tools and other items to where they're needed. You will also get back the use of the kitchen drawer where the tools are stored right now. You know the one I'm talking about. It's where you go to get the screwdriver but it's not there because someone left it where they last used it.

Really nice little toolbox. We purchased this for our 2 year old son to put toy tools in. The toy sets came with really low quality tool boxes that looked like they would break right away. This one is excellent and has held up to the abuse of a toddler.

I would buy it as a real toolbox too, if you needed something small like this. I like the top storage bins, and the clip that holds the box closed is good quality. It seems like it will last a long time.

This is a review of the "Stanley 016011R Series 2000 16-Inch Tool Box"

Pros: Very cheap for the amount of space. I payed a little over $9.
Sturdy plastic (but that keeps it light)
Great colors (Black and yellow, you know what it is...)

Cons:
Plastic mold pour. They didn't do a great job cleaning the pour edges, but with a file or sandpaper this is easily remedied.
The storage compartments on top are deeper than expected, which means less storage possibilities on the removable shelf.
As others have stated the latch doesn't seem secure but if you do not overfill your toolbox the latch clicks securely into place.

Overall thoughts:

For the price point, this can't be beat. It definitely has situational value. I wouldn't purchase this if you are planning to head to a job site and need something heavy duty. If you are looking to construct a small toolbox for home repairs and small projects this works wonders as it will cut down on the number of trips back and forth to the garage for tools. I used it as a computer assembly kit and it fits the bill just right!

NOTE: This is NOT FREE or Discounted. We bought this for a regular price.

The ruggedized StanleySeries 2000 Toolbox is perfect for an apartment lifestyle. It's small enough to tuck away in a laundry cabinet yet compartmentalized enough to store all of the around the house tools a person living in an apartment requires: Hammer, screwdrivers, tape measure etc. I especially like the yellow tabs that come on the lid of the tool box for storing picture hangers, screws and multiple small item that would be easily lost. I would recommend this toolbox for anyone that is living in an apartment or living in a college dorm. I am very impressed with this item.

I was looking for a small, lightweight toolbox to replace a heavy wooden one I've been using for my small precision and electronics hobby-type hand tools. It works perfectly for this so far! It's plastic and it's inexpensive so if you're thinking about loading it up with standard hand tools, I'd get something else that can better handle the weight. If you only have a few hand tools that you use infrequently, then it would probably work okay. Packing it full of standard hand tools will likely see the hinged parts fail quickly.

This thign is not exactly perfect for tools unless its like a Dremel, or some small work working pieces, but this is perfect for art supplies, or even fishing. I used mine to carry all my watercolor tubes, pencils, pens, brushes ect. It has two levels because of a plastic removable level that is a bit shorter so I also had room for random stuff I generally needed like some USB flash drives, some iphone cables, my quarter collection. and random computer peripheral stuff. Overall I loved it, until i wondered around home depot and for a few bucks more I actually got a full blown toolcase. If you do find yourself out of room after acquiring a light collection of whatever hobby you are into, switch to Huskies toolbox, or even Homer's toolbox at Homedepot for nearly the same price

Nothing fancy, but it serves my purpose. I am an avid woodworker/wood turner. I have a very well-equipped shop, including an abundance of storage that I've built myself (in the form of drawers, racks and specialized boxes) to keep everything in its place.

In this particular case, I wanted storage for my pyrography tools, which consisted of two pens, two cords, a dual transformer and a variety of tips.

I could have stuffed all of the equipment in one of my drawers, but I like to be organized so I can find the tools I need.

This is a relatively small box (Stanley provides the same design in at least a couple of sizes). It includes the base, for the transformer (or any relatively bulky item), a tray (for the pens, or other smaller, but long tools), and four compartments on the top (for my tips, but for any other small tools or parts).

It's a classic design that works!

This tool box is amazing. Plastic, yet feels very sturdy> Stanley is a nice brand. I have no issues with the top holders opening and letting my nails and bolts fall out. Love the color combo yellow and black look sharp. Very pleased. Obviously, this is not for a construction worker. I am a female that just put basic tools in here such as 2 size hammers, a couple screwdrivers, nails, work glove etc. Nothing major, but good enough to hold that stuff and keep it in my garage. BOOM!. Recommended to all!
