I teach 7th grade and use a lot of the large Expo dry erase pens with my students. Expo Low Odor Chisel Tip Dry Erase Markers, 12 Black Markers (80001) Frequently the kids mash down the tips, which meant that I was throwing away pens that still had plenty of ink. This needle nose saved me. It's thin enough that I can reach in and pull the pen tip back up to where it should be, hence saving me a bunch of pens (and $$$) in the long run.
In response to the other reviews about the weakness, it feels solid to me. You have to remember that this tool is designed for smaller scale, sensitive work. It's not meant for heavy duty prying of large objects.

I have used these for 6 months and really like them, I use them on thin pieces of leather to pull the leather into place. I pull quite hard and these take the abuse without an issue. I do not bend much with them however.
I like that they are spring loaded, so they are easy to use with one hand. The grip feels good in my hand, but since they are small pliers, they are not as comfortable as a larger pair. After using them for an hour or so, my hands feel stiff.
I will be ordering another pair since they have workes so well for me.

For smaller projects, or tighter areas, this is pretty much the perfect tool for the job. My biggest compliment is that the grip is smooth all the way through. Some of the smaller pliers I own have a sort of activation point when you start closing them, So if you are dealing with delicate parts, it's rather annoying to have the grip go from loose to tight when you start to close around it. And this pair of pliers does not have that issue.
Other than that, it's a solidly built thing. it feels comfortable to hold, and it's flimsy or cheap. And as a bonus, with the yellow Stanley coloration around the handles of it, it's pretty easy to find at all times.
For the types of jobs that you would need a small pair of needle nose pliers for, this is basically a perfect pair for the job. I highly recommend these.

These pliers are the perfect size for removing small hooks from small fish. Yes, I have forceps. And I also have purchased and used aluminum fishing pliers, but for 7 bucks its hard to beat these. The jaws come together perfectly (no gaps or rough edges), the spring is robust, and the finish is uniform so I dont expect any rust in fresh water applications. Highly recommend for the price. (Practice tip - because the spring will keep the jaws open, I drilled a hole in a wine cork about an inch deep and close the plier jaws and plug the jaws into the cork, keeping the jaws closed.)

Does your species have fingertips larger than a couple millimeters across? If so, you need this pair of pliers. So well-made and useful that they feel like an additional pair of fingers. Actually, that's not a bad idea. Does anyone know a good surgeon who's also a metallurgist?

For under four dollars I'm quite happy with these. I bought them to place electronic components and wires in guitars for soldering and they are perfect. I didn't want the really skinny needle nose pliers because they always bend on me and won't grip anymore (even a Crafsman I had that came in a sixty dollar set of three).
If I were a mechanic or electrician I would probably go with something of higher quality, but for my purpose, and general household use, they are more than sufficient.
As far as the other reviews claiming they bend, I say to them: you're using the wrong tool. They are needle nose to begin with (not meant to grip with the greatest amount of force) and they're under four dollars. What do you expect?

These are part of the basic tool set I gave my daughter when she moved out. 5 Stars because they're there when I visit. I use them more than she does. Good quality, (They're Stanley, not 'Snap-On' but also don't COST 'Snap-On').

As always, Stanley displays the quality and workmanship that I have grown to expect from them. I have other needle nose pliers but needed a smaller one for the fine wire work that I occasionally do. These are perfect for the application that I need.

When I couldn't find my good pliers and was working on a guitar, I slipped a scratched the top.
An expensive consequence. I bought these which does a great job. The spring give it a nice
feel.
Stanley ears it's reputation with products like these.
