Theses pliers are great. The cutting edge on them is sharp. Not very sharp, but sharp enough. The handle has a nice coating making it easy to hold it. The tool is made very well. You can't go wrong with this. If you take care of it, it will last a lifetime. Mine came in fast. It had a lot of oil on it to prevent it from rusting. This tool is worth the money!

Hefty cutters. I use them for cutting guitar strings when I change strings. They're certainly up for that job.

Great for wire cutting!
The greatest plier I've already had (and I had a few).
It opens wide, which also might be helpful in some cases.
It cuts everything from soft copper wire to heavy communication cable.
The rubber handle's shape is very friendly for all types of hand sizes.
I really like Stanley products and these Pliers didn't disappoint me.

At work I am constantly cutting zip ties so I need a good pair of "snips" as we call them. Originally I used 8" snips but I quickly lost those and they also didn't fit well in my tool belt. I went shopping for smaller, cheap alternatives on Amazon and ran across these.
After using them for several months, I am quite happy with them. These 6" snips work just as well as my 8" snips did at cutting zip ties, yet they are smaller and inexpensive. If I lose these again (loaning them out and not getting them back, them falling out of my pocket or toolbelt, etc.) then I can place another order here on Amazon and it won't break the bank.
There is a slight issue with the black and yellow grips sliding downwards, but this is easily rectified by twisting and sliding them back up.
Overall, I am very satisfied with them. This is now my go-to pair of snips. Way cheaper than Kobalt, yet just as effective.

Good quality cutters, well made. I loaned my old cutters to a neighbor and never did get them back. They were also Stanley brand. I had the old ones for over 20 years. Hopefully these will last just as long, and no ... I will NOT loan these to my neighbor, or anyone else, ever again! Highly recommended; both the cutters and the seller.

I received these pliers in perfect condition without a single scratch. The forged steeled clippers/jaws sharpness remained intact. After looking very closely at the tip’s of the clippers, it appears that it’s chrome-nickel steel.
The rubber handle has a great grip and very user friendly for all types of hand sizes. It also appears there was so much care taken to double dip the handle as well.
These pliers are AMAZING! I used to use Knipex brand but after using these pliers once, (and oh they can cut through so many things!) I am now a full on Stanley customer who only prefers the Stanley brand.
The weight of these pliers are not heavy as others. This price is very fair. Give these pliers and this brand a chance. These are amazing for home and auto. Get two! You won’t regret it!

These are very handy for removing mangled nails during our home remodeling!
The first try for nails is a hammer or crowbar. But sometimes the nail heads bend up and then there's nowhere for the hammer claw or crowbar to grasp. At that point it’s diagonal cutting pliers to the rescue! Just put the flat side of the pliers against the board/wall, grab the base of the nail and lever outwards. If it’s a very small nail, e.g. finishing nail, and you can’t pry it out, just use the pliers to cut the nail.
I like this smaller 6” size because they fit in my "tool belt" (I use a nail apron as my tool belt).
Sometimes you’ll hear these referred to as “dikes”, usually by the older generation. This is just a shortened version of the name DIagonal CutterS. However, since the term ‘dyke’ is derogatory, the name ‘dike’ is mostly avoided these days (or explained, “I’m using the shortened form of diagonal cutter, I’m not saying dyke.”). It would be sad if someone was walking by and overhead and got offended because they didn’t know we were talking about our tools :( So, you can just call them diags or wire cutters if you want a shorter name and you’re not in a private area.

Solid and hefty. Obviously a professional tool. The dipped, no slip handles are one of the better features. Cuts through heavy gauge electrical wire with ease. Should any part fail, Stanley's warranty is reliable and easy to access.

As with any products made by Stanley tools, this pair of Diagonal Pliers, or dikes, as they are more commonly known as, are excellent quality pliers. I already had a pair that I've had for at least 20 years. But after 20 plus years of stripping wire I felt it was time for a new pair. A lot of companies out there making similar looking pliers, just not similar in quality. Stanley is one name beside Craftsmen that is a trustworthy brand. Getting the right quality is the most important thing in tools. That and price. Stanley keeps there products affordable. If you need a good pair, or need to replace a pair, try these. And BTW, better price here on Amazon than Home Depot too. I checked.

You really can't go wrong with these. I needed them to cut some metal bands holding on an automotive part on my car. The bands that came with the new part were plastic zip-ties (surprise surprise). These cut through the metal bands like nothing else possibly could've. They were on so tight I couldn't have slid a knife under or anything like that. This was the right, and only tool for the job. They seem like they'll be with me for the rest of my life.
