TEKTON 2841 Everybit and Electronic Repair Screwdriver Bit Set, 135-Piece
This is an impressive kit, with just about every conceivable bit type (14 in all, not the 12 stated in the Amazon ad) - in a huge variety of bit sizes. Even if you have an extremely well-equipped shop as I do, odds are that it lacks many of these bit types. Bits lock into their respective places in the molded plastic case, with that bit's type and size clearly marked; so if one is missing from the case, you'll know which one it is. The bits themselves are S-2 steel (for you metallurgists) with a sandblasted finish, and seem to be as good as those in my Bosch bit set. I'll probably never use them all - but none has broken so far. Off-center holes in the centers of security bits would be an indicator of poor quality; but the holes in my Tekton security bits are well-centered.
The larger of the two included drivers is a ratchet type, but can be set to non-ratchet. Its end cap unscrews, revealing space in the hollow handle for over a dozen spare bits or bits you'll need on a specific job.
This kit supersedes the TEKTON 2840 Everybit Ratchet Screwdriver and Bit Set, 105-Piece. Set 2840's ratchet employed a ball-bearing to help secure bits and some Amazon customer reviewers say that ball-bearing fell out of their ratchet. This 2841 kit's large driver uses a purely magnetic bit holder, which is an improvement (the bits however, are not magnetic).
The kit includes a separate case of 20 mini-bits, similar in size to an eyeglass screwdriver set, but with more unusual bits such as the tiny T3 & T4 star bits and the minuscule #1 Pentalobe driver. In the case is a mini-driver with a rotating handle butt for spinning fasteners on & off. This driver's steel bit-holder retains bits via a an internal spring. Tekton calls this a "precision bit and driver set designed for mobile and electronic devices" - be sure to click on "view larger" for detailed photos of this kit's components.
Except for the very largest bits in this set, an impact driver's instant repetitive force could easily shatter the bit. So..., think of this kit as hand tools.

I originally had the 105 piece set. This set blows that one away. The upgraded screw driver is micro drive. The little mini bit set has everything you would need, plus it comes with the pentalobe driver for the iphone 4 and up. Great warranty and customer service also, highly recommended.

Great set. Havent fully tested durability of the large bits, but the micro set works wonderfully. Clearly marked on case that bits are not meant for use in impact guns. Literally has every bit you will ever need including a socket adapter. Nice, durable case and nice packaging. Both drivers include bit storage in the handle. My only gripes with this set is that there is no adapter for the 1/4in driver to use the micro set, and the micro set isnt magnetized. Being that I work in the electrical field, magentized bits and an extention for the micro set or adapter for the 1/4 driver would have made this the perfect set. Still a 4 1/2* item. I did not recieve any discount for my review this is totally unbiased.

I just recieved this set yesterday, and I have already finished taking apart and repairing a small digital camera for my roomate with the included 'jewelers screwdrivers'. After reading the reviews and seeing how many screwdrivers came with this, I figured what the heck. I tried a few 'jewelers kits' that only have about 5-10 screwdrivers, but none actually seemed to fit, or were stripping the screws due to an incorrect fit. I am not disappointed at all with this set. NO breakage, no stripping. True, they are made in Taiwan..but good luck finding Made in USA anymore that won't cost triple the price. *tip* with any screwdrivers, keep pressure in the bit to eliminate the breakage or bent ends. if it doesn't feel secure..chances are you will strip that screw. And you most likely aren't using the correct driver...this set will HAVE that somewhere! There really isn't much to add from the other reviews. This set has more than I will ever need..even as a full time CNC & manual machinist, and self proclaimed tinkerer and inventor. Granted I've had this set for one day. I have a ton of future projects. I will update as I use this set more.

I got this to deal with the various security fasteners used on battery packs and other devices that I need to disassemble for shop projects. This set has just about everything I could wish for in a general fastener removal situation and it has been useful for my projects and some of the customization of electronics that I've had to do. The standard bit set is complete and it has been used on everything from eyeglasses screws to some 1/4" fasteners.
The ratchet drivers that come with the set may not be the heftiest or feel the most secure, but they do the job. I would have liked a somewhat longer and firmer hand driver with the set, luckily I have one as one of the tools in my shop and hex bits work in that as well, for those slightly harder to reach areas where you don't want an extension but an actual shaft that is longer and won't fall off. The shaft extension with this set leaves a bit to be desired and fits somewhat loose in the main driver. If you need to get to fasteners in hard to reach places (not restricted by width like some pieces of electronics which need long-shaft bits designed for that work) that also tend to have spaces where you don't want to drop things (behind walls, for example) then a longer driver I would say is required.
As I have a flexible shaft extension and set of longer extensions that I got for my original driver, they serve the specialized purposes of getting to those really hard to reach areas. Get this set for the bits as they are worth the entry price, but don't expect them to do every single long-reach job.
What this set lacks is the gunsmith specific flat sided bits (like those in Wheeler sets), thus it cannot be said to be for every single bit...luckily I have a pretty complete range of those bits, for specialized work. To add those specific bits to such a case would put in a good 75-100 more bits and require a much larger case, thus I'm not expecting some Master Universal Bit Set any time soon as it would also have to have the long-reach shaft bits to complement the main bit set which would be another 35-50 bits on its own. So far I have yet to find a 300 piece Master Universal Bit Set anywhere, which would cover every single task you could name. But if you want the lion's share of those bits, this set is a must.

This bit set is meant to put an end to my hunting around for the few disparate bit sets that came with other products (like drill bits) and finally give me one place where I know I can find nearly everything I need outside of firearms work. The bits are well sized and well made, just be mindful of the torque you put on them, especially rusted in place fasteners which need penetrating lubricant. I couldn't find anything better for the price and it is well worth it.

Absolutely love this kit, it has just about every bit you could ever need with a ratcheting driver. The driver also has storage in the handle to hold whatever little screws you may need to keep handy, or to hold bits that may not be in this kit for example a wing nut y-bit, and game-bits for disassembling Nintendo games etc. Most of the extra bits will fit in the handle just fine with the exception of the wing nut y-bit. I ended up sticking mine underneath some of the Phillips head bits, and it seems to stay in place quite nicely(see photo).

I saw this a couple of years ago and got really excited about it as I sometimes needs some really odd bits. Before I purchased it, I called up their customer support and told them I had 3-4 randomly selected bits (I don't remember which ones) from the set that either sheared, stripped, or snapped. They asked where to send the replacement bits; I confirmed that they weren't going to charge for shipping or require return of the bits, then explained that I was just testing their policy and that they passed. I then bought one for myself.
I've used this working on computer (desktop and laptop) hardware, taking apart hard disk drives, Apple MacBooks, household odd jobs, audio/visual, and home renovation construction. Other than the security bits, I think I've used at least 1 bit from every category of bit in this thing - both the regular size and the mini size.
I just purchased 4 more sets for my technicians at the office where we provide support for both Apple and PC computers. Several of my technicians responded that, upon seeing this set, they were going to run out and buy one for themselves.
I have never found another set that includes more variety of screwdriver bits than this set, nor a set that offers a better value. Now, if only I could find the same thing in a router bit set...
Note that, while I have never found any problems with the screwdriver itself, it could be the worst thing ever and I probably wouldn't care - I got this set for the bits. If I want a screwdriver fit for ruling the world, I'm not getting it as part of a set. But, again, I've never found any problems with it.

My boyfriend uses this kit for computer repair, so this review is from him. This is a very well made kit. He's had no issues, no brittle break offs or faulty products. Overall, this is a great sturdy kit that has aided him in a lot of repairs for his work. These bits fit a huge range of almost any fastener and includes a screwdriver with a magnetic bit holder. This kit can be used for almost any kind of repair, but he uses it primarily for repairing electronics. The 27 piece precision tool is great and has even helped him fix my wristwatches and sunglasses. There have been no issues yet, whatsoever. He only wishes that the tips were magnetic, otherwise this is a solid five stars for him.

I bought this set about 2.5 years ago. It has a wide range of bits and is great for that odd job that takes an uncommon screwdriver. I only need it now and than but having them there prevents a lot of frustration. Recently I used a T6 and had the points bend and warp when tightening a screw. The metal appeared to have been too soft and not properly tempered. I was going to write a negative review but reread a few reviews and saw they appeared to have great customer support so I gave it a try first and called them and explained what happened. Customer support was toll free, was in the US and was answered by someone who spoke good english, was very polite and helpful and said they would ship out a replacement right away free of charge. Customer support like this has become a rarity and the quality of that support for their products makes this a 5 star item.

I bought this kit and love it! Based on users reviews that tend to have broken or brittle bits break on them. Tekton Tools tech support are on it and ready to replace those bits with a new one in working order. I bought this kit solely for the precision driver set and security bits.
I love the precision set and the compact case it comes in. My only concern would be to create an extension specifically for the precision driver as sometimes there are those hard to reach spots and with the precision driver being so short I ended up banging my hand against a battery housing while trying to remove a screw placed on the outside of it. I believe if i had an extension on the driver I would have saved my knuckles a beating. Also making it magnetic would be a plus as well!
Maybe Tekton should put together a computer repair kit. If that ever happened I'll be sure to grab me one or two! (don't forget about a precision driver extension too!. Or being able to use the precision bits on a 1/4" driver would be nice as well. Maybe make an adapter for that, just some ideas.)
I'd also like to be able to purchase their screwdrivers as standalone purchases (the ones included with this kit, not fixed blade), and does anyone know if Tekton sells the red spudgers that come with the precision set? I need replacements.
