I had no real need for this product but for $10 I couldn't help but snatch it.
I was real curious on what my apartment would look like under black light so I gave it a test. (It's not a very nice apartment)
It was pretty neat to look around and I was able to find the area where my roommate vomited. (Apparently, we didn't clean it thoroughly enough)
Thankfully, my apartment looked good. You could see little specs here and there under the light.

The product says it's "Constructed of high quality materials, making it strong, durable and long lasting " but it feels rather cheap. Especially the battery carrier, it feels like you could crush it if you squeezed it with enough force. For the price though who can complain.

Being able to see the security thread on US bills was nice but the same results could have been reached by holding the bill up to the light.

No regrets in purchasing this product. Definitely going to bring this when looking for a new apartment.

I do Wolfdog Rescue and many of the dogs I bring home need to be housetrained. I always clean stains with an enzyme cleaner at least 3 times and thought I was getting it all. Much to my chagrin I learned - after buying one of these handy Vansky blacklights - I had only done half the job! The blacklght showed new stains that I had missed, and old ones that I hadn't thoroughly gotten rid of. I love this trick little tool but it is horrifying once you start going around the house. I handed it to my housecleaner and I could hardly get her out of the bathroom - she was scrubbing every nook and cranny. We had a good laugh and I would like to buy them for all my friends. Great stocking stuffer! It works great but remember, you need darkened room to see the best... or the worst! :)

This light is amazing for detecting any stains left behind and is great for dog owners! the light itself is a small, compact, black light that emits UV rays. The batteries are included, which is great! I hate trying to find batteries or having to go out to buy additional batteries. It also has a small spring attached so you can hang it or wrap it around your wrist.

The light is very simple to use. It works much better in complete darkness. When I first received the product, I was skeptical that it would work well. There are spots on my carpet I remember cleaning and I assumed I did a very throrough job while doing so. When I turned on the light, I was really amazed with how poorly of a job I did! The light revealed the exact spot that I "cleaned" and small "sprinkle" spots around the larger area where I did not notice when I first cleaned it!

I highly recommend this product for any dog owners! I recieved this item free in exchange for my honest, unbiased review.

This is my second UV Flashlight because I had so much fun with the first one, I just had to have another! You will see things that you never thought were there. Be sure to pack one when traveling so that you can inspect your hotel room and see how clean it really is and where certain "bodily fluids" may be lurking!

I'm no CSI or chemist or anything, but I have had so much fun with this light. We check our clothing before going to play laser tag and we've found where we've done good jobs and not-so-good jobs cleaning up after the cat.

VERY well made and exceptionally useful. However -- a warning for the feint of heart.

Once you black light your "CLEAN" house or bathroom you can never un-see what you saw.

This is incredible at seeing things the human eye cannot and it's even effective on some rocks/minerals.

Good battery life and useful for almost any survival kit/hobbyist tool box.

It works as advertised. I've used it to track where my cat may have urinated outside the litter box (which hasn't happened yet, thankfully). It has picked up traces of cat vomit, which has been helpful. It's also good for catching other stains that may not appear to the naked eye.

Bought this to check the hotel rooms I stay in. DON'T. Ignorance is bliss. Lamp unfortunately works too well.
One tip: If you have a solar powered wristwatch... DO NOT point the lamp on it. I did. The reflector dots lit up like christmas. That was cool but my watch display stopped working for about 20 minutes. I thought I killed my watch but it came back.
Don't know why... Just don't do this. I was lucky.
I attached the hotel find... Uhhhhh.

OMG you guys this works real good. Which is to say that it works well (also it's got a nice feel--durable but light). But your experience CSIing you bedroom will be one where you say "this works good... this works real good."

Just what I was looking for, cheap. Only used about a month so far, but it operates as expected. Only bit of confusion was trying to add the batteries. It's not clear which way they go and I put them in wrong and the light didn't work. Once I flipped the battery direction it worked.
