Love this tool as well as all of the Milwaukee 12v line that I own. I got this to replace my old corded right angle drill which doesn't have the keyless chuck. It's perfect for screwing face frames together on narrow cabinets. It also comes in handy installing drawer slides in narrow cabinets. Plenty of power, batteries last a surprisingly long time and the built in light is a great bonus so you can see what you're doing in confined spaces.

It started 3 years ago when I bought the Milwaukee 12v screw driver and never looked back. I now have 5 tools in the series as I am getting all my cordless tools paired down to the same brand and batteries. I have had my eye on the right angle drill for a while, but waited until I needed it to buy one. I was installing new drawer slides for our kitchen cabinets and had nothing to get in there and drill and screw in the new hardware...SO... I now have one and love it! Besides fitting where I needed it (with a shortened drill bit) it glides smoothly through the speeds. A nice chuck that snugs up tight and a well placed fwd-rev toggle that I can comfortably reach with my little finger while drilling..nice touch Milwaukee! My only wish would be for TWO "white" L.E.D. lights (or add one more?) the red torque L.E.D. is nice, but I rather have more light. I thought the other light was not working until I read the manual. Apparently some others in the reviews are also mistaken thinking one light is broken and unfortunately gave fewer stars. I gave this 5 stars because it is a well thought out tool design with a good warranty and feels good in the hand. If you need or want a 90 deg angle drill this is it!

I purchased this for my wood turning hobby. I learned about using this device as part of a wood turning class at John C. Campbell folk school.

While I usually use a Sorby 2" sander for my turning projects (a non-power unit that rotates with the lathe, eliminating burn and swirl marks), occasionally I need to apply the same process for those elements of my project that I don't turn (usually the base).

But more recently, I have used this tool with a 2" diamond sanding disk to grind stone inlays. It works very well for this purpose. I suggest purchasing at least 2 lithium ion batteries when grinding stone inlays. One charge for this purpose will last about 15 minutes.

What I like: the rotation is reversible, which is important for sanding to prevent loading the abrasive. The rotation speed is adjustable. The tool is light, but solid. There's also a built in light, and, when you first press the switch, a battery indicator will tell you the available charge.

The occasional need for a drill that can be used in a tightly confined space has lead me to look at and compare compact right angle drills. Principally DeWalt, Bosch and Milwaukee. After reviewing the features of each I decided to purchase the Milwaukee. The 12 volt battery platform allows for a small battery footprint and reduces weight over an 18 volt platform. How ever if needed you can step up to the 12 volt high capacity battery which is slightly larger and heavier. This allows you the ability to match the tool to the task. The Milwaukee has several features worth mentioning. It has an LED fuel scale that helps you to stay on top of battery status. It sports a white LED work light and a red LED light that engages at tension settings when used as a driver. Shortly after I purchased this tool I found myself involved in a project that required 800 pocket holes in a close quarters environment. The tool proved to be vital and an excellent choice. Battery life has been good and this drill/driver has lived up to expectations.

Really decent power for it's size. If you're in the land of decision on this purchase, I'll just say that you'll be glad you got it as there's nothing like having the right tool for the job, and this fits where standard drills won't. I love the M12 & M18 platforms.

Bought this bare tool so to have a quality right angle cordless screw gun. I decided to drill some 5/8" holes through some floor joist with it. With a decent bit it worked really well. Not saying you can stand on it, but with a little respect of how much pressure to use, you could leave the bigger drill put away. Love the ergonomics of the tools. Easy to drive screws with and get into tight places and the light placement is very good. Unless it breaks on its next use, it is a great tool. And I got it at a good price on Amazon.

Having used this tool for one year, I definitely recommend this 90degree angle drill. Whether you are a homeowner who occasionally need a power drill/screw driver or a DIY or a trademan, this tool is for you. It is versatile in tight confined spaces, too. It has enough torque for most screws, otherwise pre-drill a hole is just as easy and prevents shearing off the connector with a higher torque power tool.

very well made and solid M12 tool. I own several M12 tools and four batteries, so picking up this piece as a tool only was a no brainer. Typical Milwaukee quality (very met a crummy Milwaukee tool). Very nice to have a way to drill inside a small space.

Love the M12 Line from Milwaukee. I used this in a tight spot to drill a hole from my basement into a wall above to run a new electrical outlet. It probably isn't powerful enough for the hardest of surfaces, but it will cut through plywood and 2x framing with no problem. I've only used it with the larger M12 battery as recommended, so I don't know if it works with the smaller battery. Honestly, I don't want to damage my tool, so I probably won't try.

My step-dad got me the M12 system for my Birthday and I ended up buying this right hand drill because I was impressed with the M12 quality. I have only used this a couple times, but when you need it it is great. I drilled out a broken bolt on my trucks thermostat house with this and it did not die down once. It also has the LED lights like a lot of tools these days to see what you are doing. I plan to get more tools in the M12 lineup.

After all, my wife and I have gone through close to a dozen hand-held pruning saws during the 20+ years we've lived on our property. Those pruning saws always cut well when new but seem to get dull very quickly. With their close set, needle-like teeth they're also difficult to sharpen - and I've sharpened regular saws using saw sets and files. Eac...
