This compact powerhouse is perfect for the auto detailer as well as mechanics, welders and fabricators. Unlike chucking Roloc discs in a drill and not having any speed, the 8300rpm high speed setting will make you keep the pneumatic die grinder and inconvenient hose back in the shop. There is plenty of power here to remove scale before welding, clean corroded iron, steel and aluminum gasket surfaces, removal of rust before painting, basically every job you'd perform using 2" Roloc disks. The 2" Roloc mounting arbor is included in the kit.

The 3" polishing and buffing pads and included hook-and-loop backing pad make short work of small detailing tasks, especially headlight restoration, hard-to-reach areas around door jambs, vents and grilles, the lightweight tool comes with a detachable assist handle for excellent tool control, and the compact size can fit anywhere. The maximum speed of 2800rpm in polishing mode is perfect for the 3" buffing wheel size.

The kit includes one 1.5AH M12 battery and one 3.0AH M12 XC battery. Would've been nice to have the 2.0 and 4.0 batteries instead, given the rather high battery consumption rate that polishing creates. Aside from this, it's a perfect setup.

I've long awaited someone to produce this sort of small sander/grinder because the typical 90 degree angle tools are pneumatic. For my use compressed air isn't normally available so corded or cordless was the only choice. Already a big fan of Milwaukee's M12 system this seemed to be the perfect tool.

In use its everything I need which isn't a surprise. I'm pleasantly shocked the XC battery was part of the kit--this should be a standard practice because they're so useful. Not only is the run time greatly increased they allow any M12 tool to stand up which makes it easy to grab one in a hurry.

Overall this is a well designed tool, the kit also practical and useful. I highly recommend this for sanding, ligh grinding or polishing/buffing of small areas or working in confined spaces as I do.

love this from redoing headlights to cleaning back of rims and hubs to anything automotive this is sweet!!! i am a dewalt and mac tools guy so to have a milwaukee tool is completely wrong in my world but i had to try and i love it. will be the only milwaukee tool ill own but worth every dime!

it did come wit the bigger battery and the small unlike what the pic showed at the time i bought it a few weeks ago so the part/model # is correct and you will receive the correct kit. came with some pads and discs nice startup kit. the disc attachment was a surprise didn't know what to expect but its cool i have been using generic discs either sand paper ones or squaring pads i had laying around from a air tool.

This tool will revolutionize all kinds of cleaning tasks. Especially with Roloc accessories, this will definitely earn its keep for anyone who makes money from tasks that now require scraping, cleaning metals (especially soft metals) and refurbing just about anything. Rust removal/repair, body work, engine work, cleaning metallic objects of all sorts. This is a tool long overdue. It will allow small shops to avoid buying huge $4,000 compressors so they can use high speed sanding and polishing tools. BUY ONE NOW - if you wait a year or three until it drops below full retail, you will waste the opportunity to make money with it between now and then.

Just purchase an M12 polisher and I could 't be happier. Everything you need for polishing and grinding in tight spaces, or small jobs. Replacement puffing pads and sanding disc are available at any body shop supply store at reasonable prices. The lithium batteries last a long time between charges. Wonderful tool !!

Very nice tool. The extra battery comes in handy. We use this every day and the batteries hold up well and charge quickly. Being cordless really helps as we can go outside and spot buff a car without having to bring it inside the shop.

It works great for detailing, now when I have to buff a small spot I don't have to get a cord and my bug bulky buffer. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who details. I can't say much about the roloc attachment, as I don't have much use for it, but I would assume it works just as well. It's a bit pricey, but it comes with two batteries which are worth a fair bit by themselves.
